ANNUITIES

Annuities are investment vehicles like CD's and stocks. There are many places to put money and hopefully have it grow into more money.

There are several different types of Annuities, and they have some advantages in common. They are offered through insurance companies. They are tax-deferred and by-pass probate. They can be annuitized, or turned into Immediate Annuities. They can be set up as an Income You Can't Outlive.

Fixed Annuities have no service charges. They offer bonus interest with a minimum guarantee. They have a very high safety factor. They are often used for IRAs, including the new Roth IRA. IRA rollovers are easy. Is It Too Late for Retirement Planning? Do you need a Trust?

Some fixed annuities are tied to an index. The Standard Poors 500 is the one used most. Without the risk of the stock market, you can participate in a percentage of its gains. Most or all of your money is protected so that even if the market goes down, you will earn the minimum interest with Indexed Annuities.
