NURSING HOME CARE

No one wants to go to a Nursing Home. Yet most facilities are full and have a waiting list. A Catastrophic Illness requires care. Sometimes it is impossible to receive the needed care anywhere else. The quality of life in many Nursing Homes is improving with many providing a home-like small group environment. Some have resident pets who are part of the "family." Better supervision of the care-givers has eliminated many problems. Of course the best facilities are often more expensive. Most plans offer a Home health Care rider, so that you can afford to be cared for at home. Some provide a Pool of Money that can be used as needed. Remember When Mom was home? She's working now.

When you have private insurance that pays for your Nursing Home Care, you have the ability to change locations as you or your loved ones desire. When the state is paying the bill, this is often not the case. In Arizona, the state will not pay until you have "spent down" or used up all of your resources so that you have a total net worth of $2000 or less. The state then pays for Nursing Care. That leaves your spouse and heirs with little.

It is prudent to have insurance that will protect your assets and your loved ones. To find the most cost-effective solution for you call Nancy, 928-777-8736, or Ron, 928-777-8256, or E-mail us at answers@weareinsurance.com.
